Shockwaves of Blessing

In the previous post "About", I shared that the Lord is continuing to speak to us in many creative ways. He invites us into deeper conversation with Him through His spoken word, visions, dreams, the arts, creation, etc. As we open our hearts to Him, He reveals things both present and prophetic in nature. We are made in the image of God (Gen 1:26-27). Prophecy is about encouragement and comfort but also about pointing, rebuilding and restoring the Body of Christ to the image of God (1 Cor 12:1-11, 1 Cor 14:1-5, refer to "Fundamentals" for more references regarding the gifts of the Spirit). The foundational purpose of this blog continues to be to bring encouragement and hope to all who read it and to declare the unchanging, unstoppable goodness of God. 

The posts up to this point have brought encouragement primarily through instructional analogies and experiences. Beginning with this article, some posts will take on a more prophetic tone. I have flowed in the prophetic for a number of years, but over the last several months, the stream has become a rushing river! God is pouring out His love and encouragement and now the floodgates are opening through individuals and small companies of prophetic prayer warriors everywhere! In my spirit, I am hearing that now is the time to begin to release what the Lord has been revealing, knowing His sent Word accomplishes all He intends it to.

“The rain and snow come down from the heavens
    and stay on the ground to water the earth.
They cause the grain to grow,
    producing seed for the farmer
    and bread for the hungry.
It is the same with my word.
    I send it out, and it always produces fruit.
It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it." (Isaiah 55:10-11)

We begin with a word revealed this past July. It began with the following vision:

As I was worshiping the Lord, I saw a great expanse of land. I was above it and, stretched out before me, were cities, towns and countryside as far as the eye could see. In my spirit I heard, "This is the United States." Then I saw shock waves go out all over the land. To the natural eye, they would have been invisible but, in the spirit, the waves were tangible - they had form and substance. They were blue in color yet transparent. They covered the land swiftly and with great power but were not destructive. Then I heard the following:

"This is My blessing. These are waves of My blessing being sent forth in power to cover your communities and nation. The blessing is greater than the curse! Speak forth blessing in boldness! It is a weapon of mass destruction to the enemy's camp and mighty in the pulling down of strongholds and every lofty thing that sets itself up against the knowledge of God - who I truly AM. Speak out blessing so people may know Me and My goodness!"

Then I saw sons and daughters of God standing and speaking out declarations of blessing. While they were speaking, megaphones appeared at their mouths. As each person began to declare blessings, the Lord magnified the words and sent them forth in power. These declarations of blessing were the shock waves going out across our nation!

The Holy Spirit went on to reveal that, for many years, there has been a prevailing voice of doom & gloom and cursing over this nation - including in the Body of Christ. It has become a national habit. But in this hour, we have the opportunity to choose something different. I heard Him say,

"Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!" (Deut. 30:19)

We are being asked to partner with God to release waves of blessing and goodness over this nation like never seen before! The shock waves in the vision were blue. Blue represents living waters, grace, hope, healing and Truth. The promise revealed in the vision is sure but it is not a forgone conclusion. The Lord has given His Word and assuredly He will do His part, but it is up to us to give Him something to work with. In simple faith, kindness and generosity, a young boy released the small blessing he had in his hand (five loaves and two fish) - and Jesus fed thousands with it (John 6:1-14). If each of us in the Body would also in faith, kindness and generosity release what blessings we have, how many millions might be fed from the abundance of His house and drink from His river of delights? (Psalm 36:8-9)

Our words, attitudes and actions of blessing, magnified and empowered by God, will release a feast of living water, grace, hope healing and Truth to feed a hungry and searching nation. We don't have to look hard to find individuals starving for the hope and thriving life that can only be found in a restored relationship with God (simply step out the door, log onto social media or, in the aftermath of repeated upheavals in nature, look to those who have lost what they thought was their hope and security). Our neighborhoods, our communities, our nation are all mission fields ripe for the harvest. The time is now to go into the field and engage the harvesting machinery of blessing and goodness. The decision to release blessing or cursing, life or death rests with the sons and daughters of God. All of heaven and earth are watching to see which we will choose. Now is the time to release in word and deed a bold declaration of the blessing and goodness of God and see what wonders He will do!

A few days later, the Lord revealed the following while I was attending a multi-church worship gathering. I saw the Lord standing over large harvest fields - sunflowers, wheat, oats, etc - as far as the eye could see. Again, I heard Him say, "This is the United States". He was smiling and laughing so freely as He looked over it all! It was contagious - I was overcome with joy!  I heard in my spirit,

"The harvest is ready - it's ripe! Swing the sickle! It's sharp - I have been sharpening it as I have been sharpening you. I know the process has been painful but when the tool is sharp the "cutting" is easy. Go out in JOY and PEACE and bring in the harvest!"

This was followed by Isaiah 55:12-13:

"You will go out in joy
    and be led forth in peace;
the mountains and hills
    will burst into song before you,
and all the trees of the field
    will clap their hands.
¹³ Instead of the thornbush will grow the juniper,
    and instead of briers the myrtle will grow.
This will be for the Lord’s renown,
    for an everlasting sign,
    that will endure forever.”

The entire encounter was filled with such a strong sense of His joy in and rejoicing over the United States! Satan has His plans for destruction but God is good, He is in a good mood and His plans, His thoughts toward this nation are GOOD! We are being invited to join in and align with His heart! "Let the Redeemed of the Lord say so" (Ps 107:2-8) and engage in the joy of the harvest! Set before us every day is the choice to be a megaphone, an amplifier, for the enemy or for God - choose BLESSING and LIFE!!

“Moses said, ‘Please. Let me see your Glory.’ God said, ‘I will make my Goodness pass right in front of you; I’ll call out the name, God, right before you.’” (Ex 33:18-19a)

Let the whole earth be filled with His glory!
