Recently, as I was spending time just enjoying God's presence, He released the following word of encouragement and promise:
"Nothing is ever wasted. I use everything. You have heard My promise that I work all things together for good, for those who love Me and are called according to My purpose. Beloved, nothing is wasted - the good and even what you perceive to be bad. In My sovereignty, I work it all together for good. It is a by-product, a consequence, of My great love for you. It's what I do and who I AM. It's My part. Your part is to believe Me. To trust, to receive and to rest. No worries for tomorrow. No anxieties for today. No regrets for yesterday. Let that all go and rest...assured that I am working all of it together for good. I am the same yesterday, today and forever.
When the urge arises within you to ruminate about something or to anxiously analyze or go into fearful 'fix-it' mode, set it down. If you pick it up again, quickly lay it at My feet. Do not 'chew' on these matters. It is an unhealthy diet and will leave you weary, worn and sick. Instead, come to My table and taste and see that I am good. I prepare it for you even in the midst of your troubles. Feast on the abundance of My house and drink from My river of delight - which is My very presence. I will pour out until your cup overflows and My goodness and mercy will pursue you - you won't be able to get away from it!
Repenting is not about trying to fix yourself and your troubles in your own strength. It is turning to Me, allowing Me into your heart so that I can reveal to you more of who I am and who I have created you to be and, in my perfect timing, remove the difficulties from your path. It's not your job - you can't do it anyway. But I can! Nothing is impossible for Me! Give Me all of you circumstances. I will work within them and replace them with My good gifts - righteousness, peace and joy! This is how the King's children are to live in His Kingdom! Rejoicing in Me!"
As we navigate the storms of life, often in dark and uncharted territory, what a wonderful promise to anchor to! We have full permission and freedom to step boldly into each day with joy and confidence, no matter what may come our way, because we know the Lord's promises prove true and each one is backed by the honor of His name (Psalm 18:30 , Psalm 138:1-3). Nothing is ever wasted, even in situations where we made a mistake and feel like we totally blew it. In our finances, time, relationships and choices of all kinds - if we turn it all over, give the whole mess to God, somehow He uses it for good. He excels at bringing order out of chaos and fullness and purpose to that which appears to be empty and a waste - through the power of His great creative wisdom, He makes and calls it all good (Genesis 1, Amp.).
Dear ones, do not be consumed with guilt or regret. They are illegitimate thoughts for the legitimate heirs of God. Everything, placed in His hands, is used for good - nothing is wasted!
This post wraps up this particular series on the goodness of God, but it is not the end. There will be more. We haven't even begun to fathom the depths of His goodness. We've only stepped into the shallows. His invitation stands continually open for us to go deeper in relationship with Him and explore the vastness of His love and His good plans for us!
